Macey turned 11 years old on September 24th....Can someone please tell me how this happened so quickly? I of course had to torture her with stories about the day she was born...that is required that all mom's do that to their kids, right? Along with kissing them in front of their friends. Macey just LOVES when I do that! HA HA!

Okay, I seem to post more on my facebook page than I do on this blog!!! I just looked and it has been 2 1/2 months since I posted anything!!! Where does the time go?? It has been a pretty crazy 2 1/2 months though...In July we found out that I am pregnant! The baby is due to arrive around the end of February. And Macey turns 11 two weeks from tomorrow. WOW. A newborn and a daughter with one step into teenage-hood. I think I might be losing my mind!!! HA HA HA We really are all very excited. It has been fun getting the house ready and looking at what is out there for babies now-a-days. I can't believe how much is different from when Macey was a baby! Parenting will be EASY this time around! (See...I told you I was losing my mind...) I am going to try and be better about updating this blog...but always feel free to friend me on facebook :) Here is a pic of me at 16 weeks...

Summer days in Paris

Yippee!!!! We got the foyer, gameroom and hallways painted....finally. It is amazing how a little color can make a home so much more cozy. Now it is on to our master bedroom!!!

I am not sure if you are like me, but I take the same route to work every morning. I have come to recognize different cars that are going the same way. There is one car in particular that causes me to laugh every time I see it. It is a Mini with dark tinted windows. And on those tinted windows there is an advertisement for laser hair removal. You will never guess what the phone number to call is... 713-R U HAIRY. I am dead serious.

I am sorry....but you could not pay me enough to drive around with that on my back window! HA!

Fun Run

Macey ran in her school Fun Run yesterday! She came in 17 out of almost 50 girls her age. I was so proud of her! Last year she was practically last and was walking across the finish line. This year I signed her up for a program at her school called "Girls on the Run". It teaches girls the importance of health, exercise and self respect. It also trains them to run a 5k. Macey will be running her 5k on May 16th!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! It started out stormy and blah but turned into an absolutely gorgeous day. Our adopted family came over for lunch and we had a great time and of course ate way too much food!

Macey got a couple Easter baskets. There is enough candy and chocolate to last a while. She also got this cute pink cat ring from Sue & Holly. They picked it up while partying in New Orleans!

Diva in training...

Macey got a haircut this weekend. We all know she has been a diva in training for quite some time....but now with her sassy new style, LOOK OUT! Next thing I know she is going to be demanding bottles of Cristal, only white roses in her room, and start throwing her cell phone at random people! HA! Thank goodness we have refrained from getting her a cell phone as of yet. Not that she doesn't ask 20 times a day....

Painting

We are getting the house ready for me and Macey to move in. We finished painting her room and the guest bathroom this weekend. I have to say this went MUCH better than when we painted the half bath downstairs. In red. Which I ended up wearing head to toe.

Well, we did it! We exchanged vows, rings and sealed it with a kiss! Everything went amazingly well. The weather was gorgeous. The resort was wonderful. The families all had so much fun! We couldn't have asked for anything better!!!!

Thursday....it is such a great day, isn't it? I love Thursdays becuase that means tomorrow is Friday, which means the weekend. YIPPEE!!! And boy do we have a weekend planned. Every day is packed with celebrations....a birthday party for a dear friend one night, a party thrown in me & Bill's honor at another friend's house, a bridal shower on Sunday...I love parties. I love getting family and friends together and having a good time. This year, Bill and I made a pact that we are focusing more on our family and friends and spending time with them. Last year ended with us realizing how little we saw those who meant something to us. This year we aim to rectify that! So look out....we just might be the next people knocking on your door!

I got to go home to KC for about 30 hours last weekend....it was a short trip but VERY fun! My sister and I flew in to help my mom celebrate her 60th birthday!! Mom made her famous eggs benedict for breakfast Saturday and then we went shopping until our feet ached. After we got home, my step brother came over and we had a fabulous dinner. Isn't family grand?!?

Three weeks from this Friday is the BIG DAY! We are getting so excited! We are very fortunate that our family and some of our close friends will be there to help us celebrate. Oh my....talk about a whirlwind! From the second Bill put that ROCK on my finger four weeks ago, things have have gone to warp speed. Where? When? Who? How? All those important questions have been flying around like crazy...

It is set though. We will be promising to be with each through all the good and all the bad on Friday, March 6, 2009 down in Mexico.
